How does Electric Car Charging work?
Most South East homes have single phase 230V supplies meaning the maximum power of chargers suitable are 7kw/32amps. Chargers are supplied by a 6mm cable wired directly from your fuse box/consumer unit and must be on their own dedicated circuit.
Depending on the condition and capacity of your fuse box/consumer unit an additional unit may need to be installed to supply the electric vehicle circuit.
Tethered or Untethered Car Charger?
